Hi, I'm Steph
I'm a creative technologist, passionate about maker culture, 3D printing and women in tech.
In the News
Here's a showreel of my appearances in local news for my casts for broken bones project, workshops, face shields, Party button and electronics.
See the project page for more.
ABOUT
I'm the Community Engagement Coordinator at USQ, operating the Library Makerspace in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. I design beautiful, multicolour circuit boards you can find on my Etsy Store. I also created The Party Button, a two meter tall art installation inspired by the classic crosswalk interface. I also teach 3D printing, 3D modelling and Arduino classes, and am a past President of the Brisbane Hackerspace. I have a background in biofabrication and 3D printing for medical grade implants.
I've hosted talks and workshops for the Wonder of Science Program, QUT Creative Enterprise Australia, Brisbane Workshop, Woodford Folk Festival, The Planting Festival and much more. I've been featured by Peppermint Magazine, was a finalist in the Women in STEM awards and more.
CIRCUIT BOARD DESIGN
I'm creating soldering kits that make it easy for young girls to get excited and curious about electronics. These boards don't look like your average PCB, with a focus on aesthetics and a STEAM approach. Visit my Etsy Store here.
PROJECTS
I've completed projects including 3D printing, 3D modelling, Arduino and Circuit board design, some of which are now open source. Check out my projects page for a full portfolio.
